Saturday Academy

Description

Our Online Saturday Academy program is provided to our students through Victory Generations. It is designed to uplift and empower students who may face barriers to traditional academic and emotional support. We focus on reaching those who may struggle with expressing themselves, have lost confidence, or feel invisible due to various challenges such as academic delays, immigration concerns, or personal fears. Through engaging online sessions every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, we create a safe and supportive environment where students can connect, learn, and grow.

Program Structure

‍Each session begins with an uplifting song and interactive activities to set a positive tone. We prioritize social-emotional learning by discussing relevant topics and providing a platform for students to share their perspectives and experiences. The remainder of the class is dedicated to targeted instruction in Math, Reading Comprehension/Vocabulary, and Writing. Students develop their public speaking skills, aThanks to grant funding, we're expanding our curriculum to include bi-monthly or monthly sessions on STEAM subjects, facilitated by guest experts such as scientists, art therapists, and music therapists.

What to Expect:

‍Students develop their public speaking skills and build community amongst their peers. Students can join break out rooms for individual tutoring and support. Ultimately, children can expect to build positive communication through engaging and interactive sessions that blend academic instruction with social-emotional learning and creative expression. Our experienced coaches and guest experts provide a nurturing environment where students feel valued and empowered to explore their potential.
