25 Years of Dedication

Greenwood Shalom is a program of Greenwood Memorial United Methodist Church. It was founded by the church Outreach Ministries in October 1999. In 2000, we became an affiliate site of The Victory Generation After School Programs (BMATenPoint) to serve a community challenged by the lack of academic advancement for their children. In 2003 Greenwood Shalom was incorporated and obtained their 501c3 non-profit status.

Successful graduates

Our program has seen incredible success stories among our graduates. These individuals have emerged as shining examples of what dedication and support can achieve. Many of our alumni have gone on to pursue higher education, securing degrees in various fields and excelling in their chosen professions. Others have entered the workforce directly, bringing with them the skills and confidence instilled during their time in our program.

We're immensely proud to witness our graduates making positive contributions to their communities, serving as role models for future generations, and embodying the values of resilience and perseverance instilled in them through our program. Their accomplishments stand as a testament to the transformative impact of our efforts and reaffirm our commitment to nurturing the potential of every individual we serve.

Supportive community

Our community is an invaluable source of support for our program, comprising remarkable contributors and sponsors who share our commitment to empowering children and families. Community partners, funders, and donors have been instrumental in bolstering our efforts. Their generous contributions of both financial resources and unwavering support enable us to continue providing essential services and programs to those in need.

Furthermore, we actively refer families to these organizations, ensuring they receive the comprehensive assistance and resources necessary to thrive. The collaborative spirit and generosity of our community play a pivotal role in the success and sustainability of our mission, and we are immensely grateful for their ongoing dedication and partnership.
